Current situation and development of CNC industry.
Based on current situation, the CNC industry is expected to continue growing and evolving in response to technological advancements and changing market demands.
At present, as the leading industry of my country's national economy, the mechanical processing industry is still the main support for my country's economic growth; as an important support for economic and social development, the mechanical processing industry is the main channel for employment in my country's cities and towns and a concentrated embodiment of international competitiveness. However, judging from the current performance, the development of China's mechanical processing industry is still far behind that of Western manufacturing powers. The lean transformation development path of China's mechanical processing industry is frequently hindered and there is a long way to go.

As early as 1987, the concept of "sustainable development" was clearly put forward in the report of the United Nations Commission on Environment and Development. In this regard, based on its own development status, the Chinese government has foresightedly applied this concept to the specific practice of China's manufacturing transformation and upgrading, and proposed to promote the improvement of development quality and efficiency through the transformation of development mode, adjust and optimize the industrial structure, promote innovation-driven development, accelerate the improvement of various systems and mechanisms, properly respond to changes in the external environment, and promote long-term stable and healthy development. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the development of my country's mechanical processing industry can be roughly divided into three stages:
1.The first stage is from the founding of the People's Republic of China to the reform and opening up. This is a period when the mechanical manufacturing industry formed a relatively independent and complete system. During this period, my country's mechanical processing industry mainly existed in the form of OEM (original equipment manufacturing);
2.The second stage is from the reform and opening up to the early 1990s. It is a period of rapid development of traditional industries represented by transportation machinery (such as automobiles) and engineering machinery (such as rotary drilling rigs) in my country's mechanical processing industry, which is mainly characterized by research and development design (ODM);
3.The third stage has entered a new period of structural adjustment and industrial upgrading in an open and competitive environment since the early 1990s. The proportion of high-tech products has increased significantly, which is characterized by independent brands (OBM).

However, the severe economic situation has brought unprecedented difficulties to the manufacturing industry. Implementing lean production transformation and upgrading, optimizing industrial structure adjustment, enhancing the vitality and stamina of the industry, and promoting the mechanical manufacturing industry to embark on a lean development path with higher quality, more characteristics and more vitality are the needs of the mechanical processing industry to enhance its own competitiveness. At the same time, after the rapid development period in the past few years, the mechanical industry has exposed many problems.
For a long time, domestic engineering machinery enterprises have been seriously lacking in R&D platform construction capabilities and resource investment, mainly relying on imitation and copycatism, resulting in an oversupply of equipment and low-end production capacity. In contrast, multinational companies are making huge profits in the small-capacity market of high-end products. Under the pressure of the market situation of overcapacity in engineering machinery, lean transformation and upgrading has become the general trend of the industry. Therefore, reducing costs, improving efficiency, implementing transformation and upgrading, enhancing competitiveness, and taking the road of lean transformation are the needs of the self-revolution of the machinery industry, the needs of the economic situation, and the needs of sustainable development.
At present, the road of lean development will continue to change. The transformation and upgrading of my country's mechanical processing industry is of great significance and imminent. As long as we follow the five development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing, adhere to the direction of sustainable development, and take the lean development path of transformation and upgrading, the mechanical processing industry will surely become bigger and stronger, and realize the transformation of the machinery manufacturing industry from production-oriented to production-service-oriented, from extensive management to lean management, and from low-end manufacturing to high-end manufacturing.
